Aveneer Consultants - student team analysed benefits of ISO 14000

Congratulations! On April 14, 2014 my five-member team of fourth year students presented their final results to their client CSA Group in Mississauga. The survey with 185 respondents found that organisations refer more to "external and intangible" benefits like reputation, rather than "internal and tangible" benefits like cost-effectiveness in the values obtained by implementing ISO 14001 environmental management systems.

The team also produced a YouTube video describing the project and the need for ISO 14001 environmental management systems.
The purpose of our video is to promote the ISO 14000 series of standards, specifically emphasizing ISO 14001. The audience is mainly organizations in Canadian industries, especially manufacturing industries in Ontario. As per our findings, this is the market niche that finds most value in organizations in Canada. Through promoting ISO, we hope to educate other sectors in Canada, for-profit and non-profit, public and private organizations and help them, understand the value that the ISO standard can bring to their organization. Hence, the audience would be organizations in Canada.
